Introducing SIETAR BC Board - Leyli Niknafs

Leyli has her Bachelors degree in English Translation and her diploma in Interior Design. She started to work as an English instructor and Translator about 20 years ago. After moving to Canada, she pursued her teaching career by getting her TESOL certificate from Vancouver Community College (VCC) and started to work for MOSAIC as a LINC instructor. Teaching to new immigrants to Canada was a great experience to her. It helped her to merge into Canada’s multicultural community and get involve into its great diversity.

Leyli has started following her passion, which is studying and she has done a certificate in Speech Science through Simon Fraser University and she is on her way to be a Speech Language Pathologist in near future. Leyli has been worked as a translator and interpreter. She is an associate member of STIBC (Society of Translator and Interpreter of BC). Recently she received Award of Achievement in Community Interpreting through VCC.

She loves to read, do yoga and spend time with her family. She is a Reiki master and loves to spend time on doing Reiki and meditation.
